Color Throwdown #135 and Incredible News!

Time again for another Color Throwdown, and this week Barbara is our hostess! The colors she chose for this week will give you a LOT of options... you can go in so many directions with this, whether vintage, cutesy or whatever! I hope you'll play along!

For my card, I thought Appleybowl Huggabugg would be really cute in yellow, so here she is! She's got a Golden Delicious, and a couple of Red Delicous apples in her bowl, too (coated with some Glossy Accents for shine!) I think she's one of my most favorite Huggabuggs from Stamping Bella... I love her cute little smile and flippy hair! I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch #110 for the layout.

Oh, and speaking of Stamping Bella.... did you catch this fabulous announcement yesterday on the Blogabella? I am a new Bella Babe! You have NO idea how excited I am for this opportunity! Being on this team has long been a dream of mine, and I am so grateful to Emily for giving me this chance! My first official Bellarific Friday post will be this coming Friday, April 1st. The theme for the challenge this week is polka dots, and you still have time to play! Make a card using Stamping Bella stamps, and lots o'dots, and email it to Emily by Thursday evening to be included in the line-up on her blog! For more information, check out the previous challengehere!

Stop over at the Throwdown blog for all the challenge details, and JOIN us! And see what my Throwdown sisters have created too, if you need inspiration!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Please be sure to stop by again on Friday if you have time! I have incredibly exciting news to share!

Timeless Tuesday #111

We're back for another Timeless Tuesday challenge again this week! We're up to week #111 and Betty is our hostess. Her challenge to you is to use the stamps in your set that often get neglected. So often we may buy a set of stamps just because we really like only 2-3 images within the set, so for today she's challenging you to use the other stamps! Please stop by the Flourishes blog to see her beautiful sample and check out the challenge details! We hope you'll play along!
For my card, I chose to use the new Spring is Sprung set. I fell instantly in love with the sweet bunny rabbits in this stamp set, and really doubt that I would ever use the bird image, so that's what I went with for my card today. The bird was stamped very lightly with Versafine Smoky Gray ink, then the sentiment was stamped in Melon Mambo SU! ink and embossed.

For more inspiration, see what the other Flourishes bloggers have created for today's challenge...

Amanda Havon, March Guest Designer

Again, we hope you'll check out the challenge and play along!

TSG100 - No Markers!

It's time for another challenge with There She Goes Clear Stamps! This week’s challenge is being issued by our Trendsetter of the Week, Kim! She wants us to create a card that uses NO MARKERS…no Copics, no Tombow Markers…NO MARKERS AT ALL! Can you believe it? So reach for those pastels, colored pencils, or other coloring mediums that you’ve been neglecting and show them some love this week! And as always, we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

For my card, I pulled out my *new* Prismacolor pencils. My friend Cindy sold me her nice big set of pencils, and it was actually really good timing for this challenge AND given the fact that I can't find my old set! It's been a LONG time since I used this technique, and while I will still always be eternally devoted to my Copic markers, the pencils are fun to use, too!
This cherry blossom image and sentiment are from The Journey stamp set, and I paired them with papers from the Gabrielle collection from Bo Bunny.

Have a great Monday! Thanks for stopping by!

Sketch CrAzY - C4C80

The girls at Crazy 4 Challenges have another great one for you this week... Silke is our hostess again for the last time this month, and she's got this great sketch to inspire you!

I decided to color up veggiebella, who I have actually dubbed Bella Green Jeans for this card! :) (Am I showing my age there... who remembers Mr. Green Jeans?) Bella has quite a bountiful harvest from her garden... she must have a green thumb in addition to her green jeans! (I do not, however... my thumbs are just inky!) She is colored with Copic markers on Bella's Bestest cream cardstock with papers from Cosmo Cricket's "Garden Variety" paper pad.

With the addition of Kraft cardstock on my sentiment tag, and a Kraft cardstock base, this card also works for Jeanie's "That's Krafty Thursday" challenge!

Check out what the other Crazies have done with this sketch, and play along with us!

Have a great weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Verses on Friday

It's Friday again, so that means I have another card to share with you today for Verses on Friday! My fellow Verses Design Team sister Heather Stephens and I have been sharing cards uses Verses Rubber Stamps with you every Friday, but today will be my last time. I'll still be using Verses stamps, but I have a big surprise coming next Friday so please stay tuned and share my excitment!

For today, I am using this wonderful stamp with a quote from Will Rogers (#QQ0849-E) from Verses. (My hubby thinks this card is so special because he *helped* me make it! LOL Um, yeah.... he was in my stamp room bugging me when I was working on this and he turned the crank on the Cuttlebug for the sentiment rectangle! Thanks for the *help*, honey!) I just adore this quote... how many veterans could you send this to to say thank you? This card was actually so quick to make, I might just make up a dozen more and do that very thing!
I kept all the lines on this nice and straight to kind of reflect the American flag, and added some of the Air Mail Divine Twine with some buttons for accent. The star border is a Die-Namics die from My Favorite Things.

Thanks a bunch for stopping by today! It's been a busy week here on my blog, and I truly appreciate those of you that keep coming back and leaving me some love through your comments! Happy stamping!

Stamps: Will Rogers Quote #QQ0849-E (Verses Rubber Stamps)
Cardstock: Stampin' Up!; designer paper (October Afternoon, SU!)
Inks: Riding Hood Red (Stampin' Up!); Weathered Wood distress ink (Ranger)
Accessories: Star Border Die-Namics (My Favorite Things); Air Mail Divine Twine; buttons.

There She Goes New Release Blog Hop-Day 2

Whether you’re one of those individuals who suffers from technological meltdowns, or you’re one who has the world of technology all figured out; you’ll roll on the floor laughing when you get a look at this hilarious set illustrated by Jessica! She’s covered all of her bases, too…from cell phones to PCs…and she’s included sentiments that will crack up anyone that receives a card created with the set.
Technology Bytes is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 20 stamps and will sell for $18.

Spring is in the air, and nothing says spring like tulips! This new set from Chris Dark showcases her flawless and realistic illustration of a single tulip and is paired with several sentiments that coordinate with the image. This set is a must-have for any flower lover!
Tulip is a 3x4 stamp set that includes a total of 8 stamps and will sell for $7.

Would you like a chance to win the Technology Bytes and Tulip stamp sets? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Technology Bytes / Tulip Blog Hop Challenge post. Hopefully you just arrived here on my blog from the fabulous Melyssa's blog. If not, you should head back to the TSG blog and start from the beginning! After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Technology Bytes & Tulip stamp sets. The winner will be announced Saturday (Mar 26th) during the Release Party Chat.

*************************************
For my first creation, I made a fun little magnetic picture frame for my hubby using Technology Bytes! When my daughters saw this stamp set, they both just loved all the sentiments but especially thought that the "Textually Frustrated" one especially applied to their Dad! He's definitely not proficient at texting! So we thought this would be a funny little something he could display at his work! The paper I used in the background is from the Bo Bunny "Blast Off!" paper pad, and on the cell phone screen I applied some Glossy Accents.

For my second creation I've used the beautiful tulip from the new set, along with one of the sentiments. This tulip is so gorgeous and realistic, you'll love it! Here I added some Basic Grey "Cappella" papers for a soft design.
Now head on over to Tobi's blog for some more eye candy! You won't be disappointed!

Color Throwdown #134

It's time for another Color Throwdown, and this week the challenge is being hosted by Danielle and sponsored by Purple Onion Designs! We don't often have sponsorships anymore, but decided to this week because so many of us found stamps on their site that we loved, so be sure and stop by and check them out! And play along! One lucky participant is going to win a selection of stamps valued at $50!

I chose this awesome Spring Noteblock stamp, and even though the stamp measurements are listed on the website, I apparently paid no attention! This stamp measures 5 1/4" x 2 1/2" so when it arrived and I saw how big it was, I immediately decided I wanted to make a pretty Spring framed piece with it. The lines in the stamp were all inked with markers, and I simply matted it with some scalloped rectangles on a piece of Bo Bunny Double Dot paper.

The rolled roses are butterfly die are Die-Namics from My Favorite Things and are simply dressed with some pretty pearls!

Stop and see what my Throwdown sisters have created for today, and be inspired!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I appreciate your visits and comments!

There She Goes New Release Blog Hop-Day1

Do you know someone who is out of this world, or maybe even someone who could have come from another planet??? :) If so, then you’ll definitely love this new fabulous and whimsical set illustrated by Melyssa Connolly!

Out of This World is a 4x8 stamp set that includes a total of 19 stamps and will sell for $18.

Would you like a chance to win the Out of This World stamp set? Here’s what you need to do- go to each of the Trendsetter’s Blogs and leave a comment on their Out of This World Blog Hop Challenge post. After you have finished checking out the eye candy and have left some love, return to the TSG Blog and add your name to the Mr. Linky at the bottom of this Blog Hop Challenge post. A winner will be chosen randomly using a random number generator to receive their very own Out of This World stamp set. The winner will be announced Saturday (Mar 26th) during the Release Party Chat.

For my card, I paired my space alien up with some new Blast Off! papers from Bo Bunny, and used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #109. My stars and planets off in the distance are accented with glitter and a clear Spica glitter pen, and I airbrushed the background (since I have a fabulous new air compressor to use with my Copic airbrush!)

So now you can continue on the hop by going over to see the fabulous Tobi and check out her "out of this world" creation!

Timeless Tuesday #110 - The Mask

Our Timeless Tuesday challenge this week is being hosted by Makiko, and she wants you to put on your mask! :) Well, do some masking with your stamped images... is that clearer? Stop on over at the Flourishes blog for all the challenge details, and to enter your masked creation! And don't forget... review the rules for entering the challenge! You must create a card using the challenge specifications, but you also must leave comments for the designers to be qualified. The number of entries each week are not the same as the number of comments so I assume people are not realizing the new rule that went into effect last month!

For my card, I chose to use the Mix 'n Mugs stamp set, because no matter what mug you choose you still have to mask whatever image you choose to put in the mug, too. I paired the image with some new Crate Paper designer paper, and tore a page out of an old, never-used cookbook I found when cleaning out some drawers in my kitchen last weekend. I always love how pages from an old book look on a card, and thought why not use a recipe from a cookbook!?The other Flourishes Bloggers have some great inspiration for you today so please be sure to stop by their blogs!

Amanda Havon, March Guest Designer

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it!

Pretty Palette Color Challenge #1

The girls over at My Time Made Easy are sponsoring a new weekly color challenge! My sweet friend Kristin Bueter asked if some of the Color Throwdown girls would help out today with getting the Pretty Palette challenge off the ground, and how could I say no with such a pretty color combo to work with? If you'd like to play along, head on over to the My Time Made Easy blog for all the details! And here's the fun part... if you play along with all four challenges in a month, you'll be eligible to win a Perfect Prize Package of your choice! So get to work... create something using the above colors, and link it up at the MTME blog for your chance to win!

For my card, this beautiful new Crate Paper that I just bought had all the colors needed so I let it take the lead on my card along with this sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps. Some hand-dyed seam binding, Die-Namics Mini Rolled Roses and pink pearl bling finished off the card.

Happy stamping, and thank you for stopping by today!

I need to update some of my floor samples at the store so I wanted to use this Hannah Lollipop from Stamping Bella combined with this new Basic Grey "Life of the Party" paper. Bellarific Friday-Hello Spring

I love Friday for a variety of reasons, but one reason high on my list is Bellarific Friday! :) I just love to get my Bella stamps inky and play along with the Bella Babes each week for the chalenges! A few weeks ago I made this Mavis card for the weekly challenge, and incorporated some Kraft cardstock into the design so I could also enter my card in a newly discovered challenge. Bella Babe and fabulous Jeanie Witmer has a challenge called That's Krafty Thursday and she challenges everyone to create using Kraft cardstock. Well, Kraft cardstock and I have this love affair going on... I think it's getting serious... so I HAD to enter her challenge! And lo and behold, I got this wonderful email from Jeanie on Wednesday night letting me know that my Mavis card had been chosen as a Top Krafty Chick! I was so seriously thrilled, and just admire Jeanie's work so much and now I get to display her cute spotted hen on my blog, too! :) Stop by Jeanie's blog sometime and see her wonderful designs! You won't be disappointed!

The Bellarific Friday challenge this week is a sketch challenge... my favorite! And since I spent some time this week helping my sweet friend Cindy price a bunch of her stamping stuff for a moving sale, I just couldn't resist buying some of her old Bella stamps from her... they needed to come and live with me! So I inked up Billybootabella to make this sweet, Spring-time card using the sketch.
The papers I used here are the new Stella & Rose from My Mind's Eye, and I added a gorgeous green ribbon (from LeAnne!) and a hand-cut cloud.

I hope wherever you're at today and this weekend that there is plenty of sunshine and no rain! Happy stamping, and thank you for stopping by!

Verses on Friday

Hello everyone! I'm so happy that it's FRIDAY and it's time to share another card with you using Verses Rubber Stamps! And my Verses Design Team Sister, Heather Stephens has a cute little number to share with you today too, so please stop by her blog and check it out!

For my card I just had to break out my new Hello Luscious paper pad from Basic Grey! They sure did give this collection an appropriate name... these papers are completely luscious! I paired my papers up with this Verses stamp I call "The Wine-o Sisters"! Don'tcha just love them? :) I made sure to give them each a nice rosy glow on their cheeks... I think they're both several glasses into Happy Hour, don't you?
I hope your Friday is off to a wonderful start! Here in Northeast Ohio it would appear that Spring has finally sprung, so I am looking forward to a beautiful day!

Happy stamping!

Color Throwdown #133

Well, I'm running a little late... my sick kids got in the way of my stamping last night, but here finally is my card for today's Color Throwdown #133 being hosted by Kristin. Stop on over at the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and we hope you'll play along!

This is another new stamp set from There She Goes that I couldn't resist called "Back in 10." There's a good bit of coloring here, but otherwise a little clean and simple card, with the layout inspired by the Card Positioning Systems sketch #209 for this week.
My Throwdown sisters have some awesome designs to inspire you this week too, so be sure to check out their blogs...

Thanks for stopping by!

TSG98 - Sketch Challenge

Danielle is our Trendsetter of the Week over at There She Goes, and she has a sketch challenge for everyone to try! I'm a few days late getting mine done, but hopefully it was worth the wait! :) Stop over at the TSG blog for all the details, and see how you can get entered in the challenge! You could win some quick cash to spend in the TSG store, and get a chance to be featured in the Trendsetting Spotlight!

For my card, I used the new Under the Weather stamp set that was released last month. I could NOT resist this little cutie... her face is so adorable, and what fun she was to color! I paired her up with some new Bo Bunny "Ad Lib" papers, and I had to be just a teeny bit rebellious and turn the main image panel a tiny bit! ;) Since I kept the card pretty clean and simple, I thought turning the panel gave it just a little more interest.
Almost all the Trendsetters have some inspiration for you using this sketch, so check out their links at the TSG blog too, and we hope you'll play along!

Happy stamping!

Timeless Tuesday #109-Butterflies!

It's time for another Timeless Tuesday challenge from Flourishes, and today Silke Ledlow is our hostess and she is challenging everyone to add butterflies to their creations! In the paper crafting world, I think there are literally thousands of options for adding butterflies... embellishments, die-cuts, papers, stamped images... you could find them anywhere! So have some fun with this one, and link up your creation over at the Flourishes blog! You could be the winner of a $10 gift certificate to spend in the Flourishes online store! Check out the blog for all the details and how to enter!

For my card, I took some inspiration from the Mojo Monday sketch this week, and this new Gabrielle paper I got recently from Bo Bunny, which has butterflies! I also added a die-cut butterfly made from a Die-Namics die, and some Zva bling from the Flourishes store! My sentiment comes from the Hello Hyacinth stamp set.
For more butterfly inspiration, stop and see what the other Flourishes Bloggers have created today...
