The Cat’s Pajamas-Sneaky Peek #4

Sneaky Peek Week
I’m so excited to share today’s Sneaky Peek with you from The Cat’s Pajamas, because this stamp set features my FAVORITE BUNNY!  Those big floppy ears get me every time!  Here’s my card using the new set “You Got This!”
TCP Sneaky Peek #4 by Tammy Hershberger
Bunny is trying to build up some muscles, and has a helper perched there on the barbell, shouting encouragement!  They’re just too cute together!  Now, my card was made a week early so I’d be ready for all the Sneaky Peeks this week, so it’s too late to enter but I did use the color combo from the ColourQ #282, and the MojoMonday sketch #387 for inspiration.  My bunny was colored with Copics, and my card was finished with some baker’s twine and enamel dots.
Be sure to head over to the TCP blog for all the Sneaky Peek details!  And here’s a few more things to remember…

Color Throwdown #331

Color Throwdown #331 cropped by Tammy Hershberger
Happy Wednesday, my stampy friends!  Are you ready for a new Color Throwdown challenge today?  Jodi is our gorgeous hostess, and she’s got these fantastic colors to inspire you!  I’m a true 80’s girl… pink and green just GO together, right?  Like, totally!

Here’s my card…
Color Throwdown #331 by Tammy Hershberger
Vickie had me so inspired with her CTD card last week, so I just had to pull out my Altenew Painted Flowers stamp set to create my card for this week.  I used the Mojo Monday sketch #386 for the layout… I completely love the tall, skinny cards!  My flowers were stamped with Cotton Candy hybrid ink and Ripe Raspberry hybrid ink from My Favorite Things, and also Versafine Onyx Black.  The leaves were stamped with Jellybean Green hybrid ink.  I used the LJD Darling Dots stamp set from MFT to add some polka dots to my pink circle that was cut with Stitched Circle STAX Die-Namics, and stamped with a sentiment from Paper Smooches’ Chit Chat stamp set.  The Natural card stock base was stamped with the BG Woodgrain background stamp in Natural hybrid ink, and the Ripe Raspberry card stock panel on the card base was stamped in Ripe Raspberry hybrid ink with the BG Gingham background stamp.  On the Natural card stock panel in the center, I used the Small Brick Wall stencil to emboss, then sponged the edges with some ink.  Behind the circle is a piece of Jellybean Green card stock that was cut with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics and stamped in Jellybean Green hybrid ink with the Greenery background stamp from Impression Obsession.  A few sequins for embellishment, and I was done!  :)

A Year Better – TCPTuesday #284

TCPTuesday #284 cropped by Tammy Hershberger
I had a little time this week to play along with the current TCPTuesday challenge #284 at The Cat’s Pajamas.  LOVE these great colors… makes me wish for Spring!
TCPTUES284 Color Challenge
I just had to use my favorite floppy-eared bunny for my card, coloring with Copics, of course!  This bunny, sentiment and “wish” (stamped on the purple panel) are all from the A Girl and Her Cake stamp set.
TCPTuesday #284 by Tammy Hershberger
I used the current Mojo Monday sketch #385, but turned the sketch upside down so that the ears are in the spot where the flower would be.  :)  On the aqua blue panel in the background, I used the Dots Cutups panel to emboss, and I embellished with  a button, baker’s twine and some sequins.
Now to check my calendar and see who’s got a birthday coming up so I can use this card!  Thanks for stopping by today!

What’s Mew at A Day for Daisies

What’s mew?  New stamps at A Day for Daisies… the Little Kitty and Cats Rule collections!  If you’re a cat lover, you’re going to LOVE these images!
Here’s my card using one of the new images…
ADFD112213
I can’t say why, but that cat just looked like a Siamese to me, so I Google’d some images and set to work coloring my cat.  Whatdya’ think?  I have to admit, I was pretty pleased with how it turned out.  :)  I used some Webster’s Pages papers, and the Mojo Monday #320 for the layout, then added the sentiment on a Fishtail Flag banner.
Be sure to stop over at A Day for Daisies to see all the new images today, and visit the other team members to see how they’ve used these cute new felines today!

Color Throwdown #237

swatch 237
It’s time for another Color Throwdown and this week it’s my turn to be the hostess-with-the-mostest!  I picked up this Fancy Pants “Trend Setter” paper pad a few weeks ago, and loved the colors so much I decided they would be our inspiration for today!  So, here’s my card….
CTD237
For my card, I’m using the paper pad, and the Brand Spankin’ New Red Delicious Die-Namics die from My Favorite Things.  With that bright red in our color combo today, I just couldn’t resist using the apple for my focal image.  I sponged the edges with some Barn Door distress ink, and sponged the leaves and stem, too.  The layout for my card comes from the Mojo Monday sketch #288 for this week.  On the tag I added a sentiment from the new Triple Scoop stamp set for this month from MFT, Chocolate Sentiments.  Also used are the Fishtail Flags STAX.
On the inside….

I couldn’t resist adding just one more apple, and a sentiment from the new Sweet Roses stamp set.

Color Throwdown #235

swatch 235
It’s Wednesday, and that means time for another Color Throwdown challenge!  Denise is our hostess this week, and she has this color combo for today that’s inspired by these delectable cupcakes!  Oh my, they look delish!
I struggled with these colors.  They’re a little mono-chromatic to me, and that always puts a roadblock up on my creative mojo.  However, I snuck a little peek at some of the cards from the other team members this week, and saw that Broni used an old My Mind’s Eye paper pad on her card.  Once I looked and found the same pad, and papers that worked well with these colors, I was off and running!  Here’s my card, using the Mojo Monday sketch #286 for this week…
CTD235
I decided to have some fun with a stamp set I hadn’t yet inked up from Papertrey Ink for my card, and played up on the arrow element in the sentiment by adding an arrow cut with my Lead the Way Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.  I embossed the background with a brick wall embossing folder and added a few chocolate brown pearls for embellishment.

Check it Out

I had the chance to pick up some new stamps and Die-Namics recently from My Favorite Things, and finally got some time last night to PLAY!

MOJO280
Using the Mojo Monday sketch for this week, I created this card to send to a dear friend who can use some major encouragment.  I used the new Document It – Library Card, and Document It – Right This Way stamps from MFT, along with the Accent It – Flags and Tags Die-Namics (the little purple arrow) and the fabulous Pretty Posies Die-Namics for embellishments.  For the library card pocket, I used the Library Pocket cut file from the Silhouette Online store.  The papers I used here are new Dear Lizzy I picked up recently at Archiver’s…. LOVE the papers, but there is only ONE PIECE of each pattern in the 6x6 pad!  Yikes, what’s UP with that?  I’m going to need another one!
On the inside, I added some Fishtail Flags STAX die cuts, and a sentiment from the Complimentary Greetings stamp set.

Color Throwdown #216

swatch 216
Hey everyone, it’s Wednesday again so that means it’s time for another Color Throwdown challenge!  We’re up to challenge #216 and Kerri is our hostess this week.  She picked these great contrasting colors for us to use… I had my doubts at first (I’m SO not a fan of blues…) but I ended up loving my card.  So don’t be intimidated and give this one a try!
CTD216
I misplaced my Copic color chart a few days ago, and in the process of hunting for it I came across this Whipper Snapper image that I think I must have colored last year and never used.  With those vibrant orange pumpkins, I thought it’d be perfect for my card for today, paired up with a few October Afternoon papers.  I also found a past Mojo Monday sketch (#261) laying on my desk and was inspired by it for the layout.

Be sure to visit my Throwdown sisters for more inspiration this week…

Here’s my creation for today…
FLLC100512
I used the Think Pink-Fight Like a Girl stamp set from Flourishes for my card, stamping the shirt with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Flourishes Classic White cardstock.  The shirt was colored with Copics from the Candy Pink collection, and I embellished with some Hot Pink Kaisercraft rhinestones in the upper right corner.  The layout for my card comes from the MojoMonday sketch #261. I made this in honor of my Mom, who is a breast cancer survivor of almost 20 years!

My card for today combines the Mojo Monday #259 sketch with stamps from the new Poinsettia & Pine set.  I used papers from the Bo Bunny Father Christmas paper pad, and several Nestabilities dies… the Picot Edge Circle, Deckle Edge Rectangles, and a flag from the Nested Pennants set.  I used my Silhouette Cameo and the Poinsettia & Pine digital cut file to cut out the pine and holly branch with Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics from the Pistachio, Leaf Green and Fuchsia collections.  I’m in LOVE with how this card turned out, and I hope you’ll like it, too!

A Skinny Woman and a Little Giveaway

As some of you may know, back in the Spring I embarked on a plan to get healthier with eating better and exercising regularly.  While I haven't lost a whole lot of weight, I am healthier and have slimmed down a little bit... enough to need to have a pair of pants that I often wear to work taken in!  I was fortunate enough to get to spend a little time with my sweet mother this past weekend, and took advantage of her excellent sewing skills to have her take in my pants.  So when I thought about making a thank you card for her, this sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps ("Inside This Body" #MC0638-C) is automatically what came to mind!  And while I was quickly making one card, I just decided to make two as I usually send off the cards I make using Verses stamps to the company for display in their store.

So here are my "Skinny Woman" cards using the Mojo Monday #252 sketch for this week for the layout.  (GREAT sketch, isn't it?)  The papers I used here are My Mind's Eye "On the Bright Side" and the crocheted flowers were a gift from my BFF Barbara Anders.

And here's a little something fun.... while I was searching through my Verses bin of stamps looking for this one, I discovered I have an extra!  So leave a comment on this post and tell me what's your favorite form of chocolate.... do you like a mug of cocoa, a handful of Hershey Kisses, a decadent Dove bar, with or without nuts?... and I'll draw a random number on Sunday night for someone to win this stamp!

That's all for today!  Happy stamping!

Flourishes Friday Free-for-All

It's Flourishes Friday Free-for-All again this week, and the team is ready to review all the beautiful stamps from the March New Release with you one more time.  Whadya' think?  Aren't all the new stamps... Mother's Words of Wisdom, Botanical Bookplates Vol 1, and Magnolias.... STUNNING?  I love them all!

For my card today, I chose to use the Magnolias again, this time making them a beautiful creamy color (which we don't see too often around here... mostly they're pink!)  I used the Mojo Monday sketch for my layout, and some new Bo Bunny "Country Garden" papers.  I embellished with some lovely Ivory Lace Trim, May Arts Textured Two-Tone Light Blue ribbon, and some Kaisercraft pearls.  The "Hi!" sentiment is from the Magnolias stamp set, and stamped on a Tailor-Made Classic Tags Die.  Other dies used are the Classic Scallop Border and Labels Eleven.

I used the Copic Creamy and Evergreen collections to color my magnolias, along with B00 from the Sky collection.

Today is the last chance for you to pick up all the new stamp sets in the New Release Bundle, and save 10% so don't miss out!

More inspiration can be found with my Sr. Design Team sisters...

Happy Friday, and thanksabunch for stopping by!
