CrAzY for the Olympics

Hi friends… it’s me, chasing-my-tail Tammy once again!  I’m late again this week with my card for the current Crazy 4 Challenges, but I’m on vacation (stay-cation) this week from work so hopefully I’m going to manage to get ahead a little bit!

Jessie Rone is our new August hostess and this week, since the Olympics just started in Rio she’s asking us to be inspired by the Olympic logo colors, or make a sports-themed card.  Well, I turned to the only sports-themed stamp I seem to have and created this card, along with a version of the Olympic colors…

C4C348

I’ve had this Sports Balls stamp from Whipper Snapper Designs for years, and this very well could be my first time using it!  It pairs perfectly with the sentiment stamp from Art Impressions.  (I have a single wood-mount of that sentiment, but it’s also available in this stamp set.)  I colored with Copics, die-cut with a Pierced Rectangle STAX Die-Namics, mounted to a piece of black card stock for a little pop, and added the striped piece of designer paper (came out of my scrap pile, so sorry but not sure who it’s from.)

Be sure to stop by the C4C blog for all the challenge details today, and be inspired by the rest of the CrAzY girls…

Color Throwdown #294

swatch 294

Broni is our Color Throwdown hostess this week, and in her typical fashion she’s chosen something beachy for her colors!  :)  The girl loves her sand and surf!  I hope you’ll stop over at the CTD blog and join us!

Here’s my card…

CTD294

We had a staff outing at work a few weeks ago, and a bonus of the day (for me, anyway!) was the chance to stop at Stamplistic in Amherst, Ohio and do a little shopping!  I’ve always loved these Girlfriends stamps from Art Impressions… I own several sets that have hardly been used but that sure didn’t stop me from buying another one!  The wine-theme in this set just sucked me right in!  Other than coloring with Copics, I kept the design pretty simple.  I can stamp a birthday sentiment inside this anytime, and have it ready to go!

So, stop by the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and play along with us!  And visit my Throwdown sisters for more inspiration…

Birthday Words

Happy Monday, everyone! Ready for another week?

Here's a quick card I made on Sunday night to display at the store. It uses a new line of stamps from Art Impressions we recently got called AI Words. This is the "Birthday" set, of course. The papers are from My Mind's Eye, and the ric-rac die is a Die-Namics from My Favorite Things.
Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Stamp Simply #99 - You've Got a Friend in Me!

WARNING: Put on your shades, or risk burning your retinas! This one is bright!

It's time to Stamp Simply again, and this week Sharon has issued a challenge that's so easy, I expect EVERYONE to play! All you have to do is make a card for a friend, for any occasion! Just make sure the word "friend" is somewhere on your card! See, I told you... easy-peasy!

And hey, did you notice? We're up to challenge #99! That means next week is #100 and that is reason to celebrate! We're gonna' have a little party and the Stamp Simply team is going to have some extra fun things to share with you next week, so be sure to check us out!

Sharon has an as-always stunning sample for you to see on her blog! We bid farewell to our July guest designer Rose Ann Reynolds, and welcome our August guest designer, Pat Adam! Pat is Julie's mom, and a regular participant in the Stamp Simply challenges each week! I had the pleasure of meeting Julie and Pat last month at our Stamp Simply getaway weekend, and let me tell you... the woman is a HOOT! Pat can keep you in stitches, and has such a wonderful spirit! You're going to love seeing what she creates with us this month!

See what the other Stamp Simply Girls have for you today, too...

Now, for my card! (Here's the part where you need to put on your shades!) While visiting with Joan Fricker last month, I found this totally cute stamp in her stamp drawer, and took the opportunity to stamp it off about 2 dozen times for future use because it was so stinkin' cute!

This bathing beauty is colored with Copics, and I even tried to give her a little sunburn! My super-sweet friend Sankari Wegman did a fabulous job giving her Rearview Ruth stamp from I Brake for Stamps a sunburn the other day, so I tried to do that too, but didn't succeed nearly as well as Shawnie did! (Check out her card here!) My Bella Blvd. paper comes from the Hope Stamps Eternal store, as well as the Zva crystals on my sentiment circle!

So, thanks for stopping by today and all week long! I know it's been crazy-busy here on my blog, and I appreciate all the wonderful comments you've left for me! Don't forget, the blog candy is still being offered from Our Craft Lounge, so if you haven't commented yet on this post for a chance to win, you'd better get busy!
