Ribbon Inspiraton/Stamp Simply Style - Lace

Hidee-hoo! I'm back today with another post, this time with the Stamp Simply Team as we create cards using all kinds of lace from the Stamp Simply Store! This is a Mystery Blog Candy Hop, meaning the winner will be drawn from comments on one of today’s participating blogs (linked below!), so leaving a comment on each blog will greatly increase your chances of winning all the goodies in the photo below! But only one comment per blog, please. The winner will be selected at 6:00 p.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, September 27 and will be posted on Sharon’s blog on Tuesday night or Wednesday, so please check back to claim your prize if you are the lucky winner! Good luck!

For my card, I have used some wonderful May Arts brown crochet lace that's 1 1/2" wide. Over the lace, I layered some 1/2" ivory wrinkle ribbon that I dyed with a little bit of Antique Linen ink. My sentiment/Scripture is the Verve Plain Jane Proverbs 3:5, and beneath the sentiment I stamped one of the La Blanche "Meadow" stamps. I cut this piece out with a Petite Oval Nestabilities, layered it on another oval, and then on a Labels Eighteen die-cut, all from Spellbinders. I also used a Classic Scallop Edgeabilities on the far left side of my card. The chocolate pearls are KaiserCraft, and the papers I used are from the My Mind's Eye "Sunshine" 6x6 pad.

The other girls on the team have some beautiful lacy creations to share with you today, as well! And remember, hop along to each blog and leave comments because somewhere along the way there will be some lacy blog candy!

Happy hopping, and happy stamping! Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Hi Tammy~

What a wonderful card! I love your lace treatment with the ivory ribbon down the center! My favorite part is the Scripture...which I wish I would remember to put into action--as much as I love it! Your different shapes are beautiful formats for the Scripture...and that big bow is lovely to draw the eye to the beautiful stamped image behind the Scripture! I have labels 18, and haven't used it well...now I know just what to do! Thank you for all of the ideas!

You've made such a beautiful card, Tammy. I've always been hesitant to stamp a sentiment over an image for fear of screwing them both up, but I love the look and should try it. Pretty, pretty, pretty!!
