I have cards to share with you today for one final Dare to Get Dirty challenge from over at Splitcoaststampers. Today I created these cards for Bev Rousch's challenge. What's the challenge? Well, you'll have to hop over to the Fan Club forum at SCS to see that (and you have to be a Fan Club member, too!) What's the Fan Club? It's a way to show your support for the website that brings you SO much information everyday for our wonderful hobby! Head on over to the Fan Club page at SCS for more information, and find out how you can join!
For this challenge, I created my own of the trendy Washi tape you see everywhere. Earlier this year, my sweet friend and Color Throwdown sister Broni tried this technique on one of her own cards after seeing a tutorial on Nicole Heady's blog, and I was so intrigued! I've been wanting to try this on my own for months, and finally got around to it for these two cards.
This first card uses the Washi tape strips I created with a variety of background stamps, and a sentiment from The Great Outdoors stamp set from My Favorite Things. I embellished this one very simply with a Die-Namics Butterfly die-cut and some clear rhinestones.
This second card uses the same strips I created and a sentiment from Verses Rubber Stamps ("Begin Each Day" #BB0441-E) along with some die-cut clouds.
So please, come on over to SCS and join us for the fun challenges this week! Oh, and THERE ARE PRIZES! FABULOUS prizes to be had! Check out all the details HERE!
Happy stamping!

How cute! You did a great job on both cards, Tammy! Love the clouds on the second one too. Thanks so much creating a sample for me and playing along. I'm glad you got to try washi! :)
