Hello Dear Friend – Catered Crop Recipe Swap

My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge #7 by Tammy Hershberger close-up
Linda has a wonderful new Catered Crop Recipe Swap challenge for us this week, all with a best friends theme!  Here are the details…
BFFMosaic
My very favorite thing about playing with paper is all the friends I’ve made along the way. But, as I was looking at our past challenges I realized we’ve never had a recipe swap challenge honoring friendship. Well, dears, that is way, way overdue, and about to be rectified.
For this challenge, just give a shoutout to friendship, your Best Friends Forever (BFFs), besties, and sisters in crime . . . . And lets get wild like girlfriends do!
  • Include a link to us at Catered Crop or add our button, which you can grab on our sidebar or at our {button gallery}.
  • Link up and link often, but be sure you link up by 8:00 PM EST on Saturday, July 19.
  • Keep the party hopping by visiting the other players and leaving comments.
  • Check back with us on July 20 to see if you’ve won an opportunity to be a guest designer.
For my card, I got some inspiration from the Color Palette Challenge #7 over at My Favorite Things, and from the Retro Sketch #122 for this week…

HelLO?!?  I freakin’ LOVE these colors!  Here’s what I created…
My Favorite Things Color Palette Challenge #7 by Tammy Hershberger
I used some white embossing paste and the MPD Scallops stencil on the yellow card stock which was cut using the Blueprints 2 Die-Namics.  White that dried I die-cut a butterfly with the LJD Blissful Butterflies Die-Namics from Whip Cream card stock, then stamped the butterfly from LJD Blissful Butterflies in Blu Raspberry hybrid ink.  I cut a Designer Labels 3 STAX Die-Namics from Sno Cone card stock, and stamped it with the BG Linen background stamp in Sno Cone hybrid ink.  I added a sentiment from the LJD Blissful Butterflies set stamped in Chocolate Brown hybrid ink.  I die-cut another butterfly in Tangy Orange card stock from the Butterflies Die-Namics, and added it to the center panel.  After the embossing paste dried, I sponged some Banana Split hybrid ink around the edges of the card stock for some depth, and very lightly stamped the BG Romantic Script background with Grout Gray hybrid ink.  I finished my design by adding some enamel dots, some turquoise and white baker’s twine, and gave the whole thing a little spritz with the MIX-ables Sheer Shimmer mist.
I am fortunate to have TONS of really good friends, and many of them here in the stamping world.  As many of you know, my absolute very best friend is none other than stamper extraordinaire Barbara Anders!  :)  Maybe she’ll find this card in her mailbox one of these days!
