One Good Apple
My card for Kitchen Sink Monday fits right in with this time of year. I picked up this great Simple Stories “Smarty Pants” paper pad a few days ago, so I just had to make a school-themed card for today, using the 3-Step School Days stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps. I stamped my apple with Memento Love Letter for layers #1 and #2 (I stamped off once for #1), then Rhubarb Stalk and Lilac Posies for #3 and #4. The leaf was stamped with Memento Pistachio and Bamboo Leaves. The layout for my card comes from the Retro Sketch #78 for this week.
If you have kiddos that headed back to school this past week, I hope they’re doing well! For me, it just means getting closer to what will soon be an empty nest at my house, so it’s bittersweet. My youngest is very independent, so I haven’t had to do much to help her get prepared for school this year. My oldest is looking into nursing school, so it’s definitely been a time of transition for both of my daughters.

Color Throwdown #256
Hello stamping friends! I’m doing an uber-quick post tonight with my Color Throwdown card for this week for three reasons…
#1 – It’s late!
#2 – I completely forgot to make my card before tonight!
#3 – I’m asleep at the keyboard, and should have been in bed an hour ago!
You know how those days go, right? So here’s my card for today’s CTD challenge that’s hosted by the lovely Joan Ervin, using a new-to-me Papertrey Ink stamp set called Button Boutique. I recently bought this set used from another stamper with a great project in mind, and hopefully I’ll be showing it to you very soon! But in the meantime, I decided to make my card with it this week.
Be sure to stop over at the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and visit my CTD sisters for plenty more inspiration…

Daisy with Washi
I decided to get a little playful with my Washi tape this week for my Kitchen Sink Monday card to share with you today. My sweet friend Broni made this darling card which was my inspiration, based on a new-on-the-scene sketch challenge, Seize the Sketch #1. The flower on my card is the original multi-step stamp that started it all at KSS, the 3-Step Daisy. I stamped in Memento Cantaloupe for layer #1, Tangelo for layer #2 and Rhubarb Stalk for #3. The leaves were done with Memento Pistachio and Olive Grove inks. I embellished with the Washi tape, and some enamel dots.
On the inside, I added another sentiment from the 3-Step Daisy set, and some more Washi tape.

Babysitting Coupons
Hello friends! I’ve been under some HEAVY stress at my job lately, and so my creativity has been completely gone, but I thought I’d pop in today and share something with you that I made a few weeks ago, lest you start to think I fell off the face of the earth!
A few years ago, I initially made this free babysitting coupon for the music director at our church. That led to someone contacting me, and asking me to make three coupons here for her to give as Christmas gifts. And that led to the two coupons shown here today that were a recent special order! Just another variation using different colors and embellishments, but they’re so fun to create!

Color Throwdown #254
It’s Color Throwdown time again, and this week Barbara is our hostess and I’m angry with her for making me use Brilliant Blue! LOL I just don’t DO blue! But in the end, I’m glad she forced me because I’m pretty durn pleased with how my card turned out! :)
I was completely inspired by this beautiful card made by my dear friend LeAnne Pugliese for this creation, and just used a variety of stamps including Hero Arts, Impression Obsession, and My Favorite Things in the layout. I added a sentiment tag, button and some enamel dots for embellishments.
Be sure to stop over at the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and some exciting news…. we have two new designers joining our team! Be sure to come on over and welcome them with us, and our new August Guest Designer, too!

Butterfly Thank You
Hello friends! I have a card to share with you today for Kitchen Sink Monday using 3-Step Butterflies from KSS. I was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest one day, but when I click on the card it only takes me to this blog, and not the actual post so I am unable to link up the card that inspired me. (It really irks me when people do that on Pinterest! Does it bother anyone else?) I couldn’t decide what colors to use for my card, so I checked out the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers from last week and used those colors… Strawberry Slush, Pistachio Pudding and Brown Sugar. My butterfly was inked with…
#1 Groovy Guava (stamped off once)
#2 Cameo Coral
#3 Rose Red
The background was made using the Swirly Hearts & Stars stamp set, stamped in Versamagic Aquatic Splash, and the sentiment from Simple Sentiments was inked with Versamagic Gingerbread ink. I added a few punched butterflies and gold sequins, and was done.
Be sure to see more inspiration from the Kitchen Sink Crew members today…

Dare to Get Dirty 2013
Here’s my last card for the Dare to Get Dirty 2013 challenges over at Splitcoaststampers. This is for Ardyth’s challenge, which you can find details about HERE.
For this card, I used my Die-Namics Umbrella, and a the LJD Cheerful Blessings stamp set from My Favorite Things. I made the sun rays in the background by creating a template with this Sunburst Square cut file from Silhouette, and added the clouds by using Washi tape.
Super easy! Thanks for stopping by!
