Focus on Patriotism on Parade

Hi everyone, and happy Friday! In just a matter of days, sparks will fly as fireworks hit the skies over the United States to celebrate our independence! To get ready for the fanfare, the Flourishes Design Team is getting ready to share a little of the red, white and blue by using Flourishes’ set Patriotism on Parade!  This set has always been one of my favorites, so I am super excited to share with you today.

My card uses the classic image of these kids on parade, stamped in Versafine Majestic Blue ink.  I used patriotic papers from We R Memory Keepers "Red, White & Blue" collection and embellished with a metal star stick pin from the same collection.  Some die-cut stars and white twill ribbon finish off my design.

Stop and see what the other Flourishes Design Team members have done today with this set...

God bless America!  Thanksabunch for stopping by today!

"Sunbathing" on Paradise Beach

Hello Stampers and Scrappers... it's my turn to share with you today over on the StopandScrap.com blog!  Today I've got this card for you with these two sun-loving ladies... well, really they're found an alternative to the sun's rays!  These ladies are from Verses Rubber Stamps, the "Healthy Glow" #MC0341E  I paired them up with some new "Paradise Beach" papers from Echo Park and some of the cardstock stickers you can find in the 12x12 Collection Kit.... the waves, the tropical drink, and the sunglasses.

Thanskabunch for stopping by!  Happy sunning!

Happy Retirement Card

One of my coworkers is retiring this coming Friday, and her party is Thursday night so I needed to get a card made!  I thought this great sentiment from the Vertical Greetings II Die-Namics and Stamp set from My Favorite Things was perfect for a retirement card.  For the layout, I used Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge #161.  Other supplies used are the Mini-Rolled Roses, Fishtail Flag STAX Die-Namics, and the leaves from the Upsy-Daisy Die-Namics.  The papers I used her are "Ginger" Indie Chic from My Mind's Eye.

I hope she'll like my card!  Thanksabunch for stopping by!

Every Cloud...

Today is my turn to share with everyone over on the StopandScrap.com blog and so I've got this card to show you all using papers from the new "Summer Soul" line from Fancy Pants.  My card was created using paper from the 6x6 pad, and the sketch for the Guest Designer contest this month at My Favorite Things.

I used the Umbrella and Cloud Trio Die-Namics for my design, and a sentiment from The Great Outdoors stamp set.  I accented with the Herringbone Cuttlebug embossing folder, and some bright pink Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Head on over to StopandScrap.com and check out the Summer Soul line from Fancy Pants for yourself!

Thanksabunch, and happy stamping!

Are you ready to see our last set being revealed today? We actually have a set and a digital download to help celebrate all kinds of occasions!

Our new Happily Ever After set is the perfect companion set for our new set Summer Blossoms. Here, you have a pint-sized sentiment set that packs some punch when it comes to wishing “The Happy Couple” well! Use it for anniversary wishes (as I did with my card yesterday!), weddings, bridal showers or even to congratulate a newly engaged couple! It’s a must have set to add to your collection! This set measures 4 by 3″ so it’s a bargain at $8.50!

And, to make sure all your events are truly memorable, we’ve added a do-it-yourself invitation to deck out however you wish! Baby showers, potlucks, bridal showers and more! This blank download allows you to personalize any get-together with that elegant, handmade touch! Created as a part of Flourishes’ Blossom Collection with fonts that match this series of stamps — this invitation blank offers endless opportunities for entertaining in style!  Click HERE to see this in the store and CLICK HERE for instructions on how to download this image after your purchase!

And now, here's my card for today!  (As you hop around today, you'll see the other girls using the new do-it yourself invitation.  I however, was unable to today as my printer is caput!)  I decided to use two of the sentiments from the new Happily Ever After stamp set and create an engagement congratulations card by pairing the sentiments with this image from the Wedded Bliss stamp set!

I used papers from the Glitz "French Kiss" 6x6 paper pad for my card, and embellished with some Ivory Lace Trim, a crystal Trinket Pin, and a petite mini rose.  Nestabilities used include the Classic Rectangle, Standard Circles, and Classic Scallop Edgeabilities.  On the insides of the card, I added the happy couple again with another sentiment from the new set.

Flourishes New Release Day 2

Welcome to day two of new release stamps from Flourishes!  This next set in our new Blossom Collection features beautiful letters perfect for monograms, short sentiments, and even name cards!  And, it offers the alphabet — from A to Z — in pure floral-embellished perfection!

Doesn’t the look of that letter just make you want to sigh? We think Marcella Hawley’s take on the alphabet is just divine and we’re sure you will agree! This 6″ by 8″ set is larger than the standard Flourishes set — offering a nice size monogram to create gorgeous correspondence, monogrammed items, or even home decor.  This set is the perfect companion to sister sets Happily Ever After SS199 and Summer Blossoms SS197! If you like what you see, this set is available for pre-order now, just click HERE! And, you can buy all three in the New Release Bundle HERE! Keep in mind though, the bundle will only be available through June 22nd!

For my card, as luck would have it, I was in need of a very special anniversary card!  The husband and wife who teach our Sunday School class will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on June 24th, and I am taking up a collection from the class to get them a gift.  And of course, I had to make a card for everyone to sign.  Their last name begins with S, so I naturally used that for the card, and embellished a few of the flowers with some Kaisercraft pearls.  I cut out the main panel with the largest of the Lattice Rectangle Nestabilities, sponged the edges with Antique Linen ink, then spritzed the whole thing with some antique gold shimmer spray.  (Click on the photo below for a close-up... my photography isn't the greatest, but hopefully you can catch some of the shimmer!)

Oh, and do you see that beautifully scripted sentiment?  Stay tuned tomorrow for more on that!  :)

Flourishes Noontime Challenge "Pop It!"

Today brings the first of two Noontime Challenges with Flourishes!  Play along and YOU could win the entire June New Release!  Today's challenge is "Pop It!"   This challenge is all about adding dimension to your cards or creation. Simply pop up an image on your card and you'll be in the running. What do we mean by giving your card pop? Isolate an area of your card and add dimension by cutting and popping up part of your image.  If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, please use the keyword FLLCJUNRW1. Entries must be in before Friday, June 15th at 5:00 p.m. EST. To enter, make sure you link up your creation over on the Flourishes blog using the Inlinkz widget!

For my card for this challenge, I'm again using the beautiful new Summer Blossoms stamp set that we revealed to you this morning!  I just LOVE me these flowers!  I colored with a variety of Copics from the Flourishes collections on Classic White cardstock.  Then I've popped quite a few things here... the green dotted tag is up on dimensional adhesive, and then the bouquet of flowers was cut out and popped up on the tag...

(layout for my card from the Retro Sketches Challenge #15)

...and finally, I colored two more of the pretty yellow flowers in the center, cut them out and popped them up, too!

And I added another spray of flowers from the set to the inside, along with one of the sentiments.

For more popped up inspiration today, please stop and see...

And that's all for today... thanksabunch for stopping by!
