Flourishes New Release Noontime Challenge

Since it's new release week at Flourishes, we've got another Noontime challenge for you today to give you another chance to win the entire March New Release!  For today's challenge, we're using one image as our front and center focal point, and the same image (or something very similar) as the background... hence, the Front & Back challenge!  To play along with us today, check out the rules on the Flourishes blog!

For my card, I'm using the Snow Drops stamps from the new Botanical Bookplates Vol. 1 set, along with the new Bookplate Template Tailor-Made die.  I colored my Snow Drops on kraft cardstock using a white Prismacolor pencil, then blended with some mineral spirits.  When I colored over the image with the white pencil, it made the black lines of ink a little cloudy, so to sharpen up the colored image, I stamped again over the coloring!  Ah, the beauty of clear stamps!  :)

To finish my card I added a strip of designer paper from the new Bo Bunny "Country Garden Collection" 6x6 paper pad, making a scalloped border on the left with the Long Scalloped Rectangle Nestabilities, and embellishing with some golden yellow May Arts ribbon from the Flourishes online store.

Need some more "front & back" inspiration?  Check out these other Flourishes Sr. Designers blogs...

I love the butterflies on the patterned paper! Beautiful. The idea of darker and lighter tone-on-tone stamping for the background piece is just wonderful. I'll definitely be scraplifting that! Lovely.

A great way to use that design paper, Tammy, and then I love the stamped side of your card for this great challenge. I will have to try this out.
