Color Throwdown #248
Hey friends, it’s time for another Color Throwdown and this week Broni is our hostess with these beautiful colors! I greatly enjoyed working with these hues this week. Here’s my card…
I just had to ink up my new GORGEOUS Fresh Cut Florals stamps and matching Fresh Cut Florals dies from Wplus9 Designs! I. ADORE. THESE. STAMPS! They’re a ton of fun to work with. I used some miscellaneous designer papers from My Mind’s Eye along with some enamel dots to embellish.

Happy Anniversary
Here’s my card using an old Hero Arts stamp called Butterfly Fields. I inked the top half of the stamp with Tumbled Glass distress ink, inked the bottom with Shabby Shutters, than added just a little bit of Peeled Paint at the very bottom. Then I spritzed the stamp with some water before stamping on white cardstock. I distressed the edges, sponged Antique Linen ink on all the pieces for a little shabbiness and embellished with some sheer ribbon and enamel dots. The anniversary sentiment is from a My Time Made Easy stamp set, and the jumbo scallop border is from the Open Simply Scallops Trio Die-Namics. I think this sketch is definitely a keeper!
Thanks for stopping by! Happy stamping!

Color Throwdown #247
Hey all, it’s Color Throwdown time again this week and Barbara is our hostess! She’s going to help you get ready should you need to get any cards made to celebrate the 4th of July with this patriotic color combo!
With these colors, I almost always just reach for one of my favorite Verses stamps…
This Will Rogers quote is so wonderful, and I love having it on a stamp! My colors are a little off from the actual challenge colors but it’s because I just HAD to use this new Bo Bunny “Anthem” paper I just picked up!
Be sure to visit the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and visit my Throwdown sisters for more inspiration…

Lighthouses
It’s Kitchen Sink Monday again, and this week I’m sharing with you some more stamps from the recent new release! These cards all use the new Multi-Step Lighthouse stamp set. The cards above are just little enclosure cards that I made…. the stamp club I belong to is now meeting at a new location, which is a garden center/flower shop. As part of a thank you for allowing us to use their meeting room, we’re giving them enclosure cards to use for their floral deliveries, so this is one little batch I made for our meeting this coming week. My lighthouses are stamped in Versamagic Aspen Mist (#1), Stampin’ Up Going Gray (#2), Memento London Fog (#3) and Versafine Onyx Black (#4). The sentiment is stamped with Memento Rhubarb Stalk and Nautical Blue.
While I had all my inks and stamps out, I decided to quickly make two cards for my stash, too…
These cards are a little smaller than A2, just in case you were wondering. All inks are the same except on the “rock” I used Memento Toffee Crunch (stamped off once for #1), Toffee Crunch (#2) and Memento Rich Cocoa for step #3.
NOW, do you remember that last week there was a contest going on to guess who picked out the new stamp sets that were released? Well, there were some good guesses but no one guessed exactly right! (Please keep in mind there are FIVE team members who picked the sets and FIVE stamp sets!) SO, now the 7 finalists who took the time to join in the contest now get one more chance to change their answers! Those stampers (using their KSS forum names) are…

SuperJen
Billie Dee
Erin S
singer21
AnitaChampagne
Shellsgr09
You 7 ladies get to guess again, and I’m crossing my fingers someone gets it right! And be sure ladies, to visit all the KSS Crew members blogs today…. you might find some good clues!

Beary Happy Birthday
I finally got around to inking up the new Multi-Step Grizzly Bear Wishes stamp set, and is this guy ever fun to use! And easy! I think you’ll find a lot of uses for this set. I stamped Mr. Bear with Versafine Onyx Black (step 4), Memento Espresso Truffle (step 3), Memento Rich Cocoa (step 2) and Memento Toffee Crunch (step 1). Super easy and he turned out perfect!
Now…. I can’t “bearly” stand the fact that only THREE people have entered the contest to win some Kitchen Sink Stamps so far! Come on now, “bear” with me and go enter! The winner gets a $25 KSS gift certificate, AND gets to have their biggest wishes come true and pick a concept for a new stamp set for the September release! Plus you’ll get that stamp set for free, and get to play with it along with the design team before the release! So, “bear” down and go enter!!! I want one of my blog readers to WIN! :) You’ll find the contest thread HERE, and the rules thread HERE.
And don’t forget, ANY TIME you go shopping in the KSS store, use the code KSS10Tammy to get 10% off your order! EVERY TIME! :)

Color Throwdown #246
Hi everyone! It’s time for another Color Throwdown challenge, and this week Wanda is our hostess with this beautiful brides bouquet as inspiration. So why not say “I do!” and play along?!
Now, I gotta’ admit… I don’t know if I’m just overly tired or my mojo has gone AWOL or what but I struggled with these colors. I hope you’ll have better success than I did! But here’s my card…
I finally went to one of my Pinterest boards looking for inspiration and found this card that got my wheels turning. I made the long tag by cutting the bottom with the Vertical Greetings Die-Namics die, then added a 2” strip of cardstock (the join is hidden behind the flowers) to make it longer. Then I stamped my flowers using LJD Sweet Roses from My Favorite Things and cut them out with the coordinating Roses and Leaves Die-Namics, and added a sentiment from the LJD Cheerful Blessings stamp set.

Kitchen Sink New Release Day!
The long-awaited day has arrived… it’s new release day at Kitchen Sink Stamps! I know KSS fans have been waiting for this day for awhile, and it’s finally here! You’re going to love all the new sets!
First up, I have to share with you is the Multi-Step Palm Trees! Take a look at this tropical paradise on my card!
Grab a drink with a paper umbrella in it and a beach chair and make yourself comfy under this gorgeous palm tree! My tree was stamped with Memento Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove (the leaves) and Memento Desert Sand, Rich Cocoa and Espresso Truffle for the trunk. I used some Copic markers for the sandy beach, and sponged the edges of my piece with Tumbled Glass distress ink. The “DREAM” sentiment is from the Vintage Words stamp set.
Next up…. let’s make some music with the new Multi-Step Guitar!
This set is FUN! You will absolutely love the great mix of sentiments you can use with this fabulous guitar, along with the stamp of musical notes! I stamped my guitar with Memento Peanut Brittle, Desert Sand, Rich Cocoa and Espresso Truffle, then did a little distressing on the edges and added some red barn siding paper to give it a more rustic, country look.
Be sure to check out new release FABULOUS creations from the rest of the Kitchen Sink Crew, too…

Birthday Roses
We have a wonderful couple that teaches our Sunday School class, and Marlene (the better half!) recently had a birthday. So I made this card to take to church today to give to her, using my 3-Step Heart and Roses stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps. The roses were stamped in Memento Angel Pink, Love Letter, Rhubarb Stalk and Elderberry inks, and the leaves were stamped in Memento Pistachio, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove. The sentiment is from the Simple Sentiments set…. one of my favorites!
Happy Sunday! Hope you’re having a beautiful, blessed weekend!

Just Because Butterfly
I pulled out my trusty, faithful 3-Step Butterflies stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps to create my version of Lisa’s pretty card. I have never tried creating a background like this, but I think maybe you’ll be seeing it as an option more often! I just used my aqua painter and took ink directly from the lids of a few ink pads, then even loaded up the brush and splattered it on the card front, too. Super easy and fun to do! The sentiment here is from the Simple Sentiments set, also from KSS. Then I embellished with a few sequins, sent to me by my BFF, Barbara Anders!
Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Color Throwdown #245
Hey there! I’m happy today to be back with my Color Throwdown sisters after my blogging/stamping break last month! I’m the hostess for today’s challenge with this beautiful Springtime color combo for you to try. I hope you’ll find some inspiration in these colors.
I needed a sympathy card last week for my former boss, so I created this with the colors for today…
For this card I used my beloved Multi-Step Tulip Garden stamps from Kitchen Sink Stamps, along with a sentiment borrowed from the 3-Step Daisy set. I stamped the tulip using Ranger Tattered Rose and Dried Marigold distress inks, and Regal Rose ink from Stampin’ Up! The leaves were stamped with Memento Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove inks. I embellished with a few blush-colored pearls.
On the inside I added a smaller tulip from the set, along with the sentiment from the Simple Sentiments set.

Stepping Back into the Kitchen
I couldn’t hardly wait to share the news with you, my readers, today…. I’m stepping back into the kitchen and rejoining the Kitchen Sink Stamps design team! Kitchen Sink Stamps was my very first design opportunity, and (little known fact!) I was actually the very first KSS customer! I logged onto Splitcoaststampers one morning in September 2007 and was intrigued by a new stamp company I saw in a banner ad. Went to the website, was further intrigued and placed an order. So I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for KSS and the wonderful owner Maria Colosimo. She told me long ago there’d always be a place for me in her kitchen, so I happily decided to come back!
So, enough chit-chat… it’s time to get down to business with Kitchen Sink Monday! The card I have to share with you today is right in season, I think! I sent this recently to a lovely lady from our church who was celebrating her 80th birthday.
I used the Multi-Step Berries stamp set for this card, and some Pebbles “Walnut Grove” papers. My berries were stamped with Memento Love Bug, Rhubarb Stalk and Grape Jelly inks, and the leaves were done with Memento Pear Tart, Bamboo Leaves and Olive Grove.
Be sure to visit the other girls in the Kitchen today and see their creations! (I’m SO happy to be back with these beautiful ladies!)

And be sure to stay tuned, as *NEW* Kitchen Sink Stamps are on the way later this month! I’ve already gotten two sets inky, and you’re going to LOVE these stamps! Want a little peek? Here you go!
Hmmm… what COULD that be?
Happy Monday! Have a great week, and thanks for stopping by!

2013 Congratulations
My daughter needed a graduation card this weekend for a friend... she wanted something a little more non-traditional, and not in the school colors (lest you think there is some school in my area with aqua and orange as their colors!) I was browsing for some ideas and ran across this graduation card on the Paper Smooches blog, and was inspired. The mortarboard and flourish are from a Silhouette cut file, the chevrons stamped in the background as well as the number dies are from My Favorite Things, and the sentiment is Paper Smooches.
I hope my daughter and the recipient love it! And I hope you do, too! Thanks for stopping by, and happy weekend!
