Tickled Pink

I’m getting in just under the wire for the sketch challenge #247 this week from My Favorite Things!  I just couldn’t decide what I wanted to do with the sketch this week, but then when I saw the Simon Says Stamp Monday challenge to use an Ombre effect, I got this idea…

My Favorite Things sketch #247

On watercolor card stock I stamped the background panel at a slight angle with the BG Simply Circles background using Versamark ink, then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder.  Then I used a water brush and some Pink Lemonade, Cotton Candy, and Razzle Berry dye inks from MFT to create the ombre background.  I laid that aside to dry and in the meantime I die cut a frame from Sweet Tooth card stock using the Rectangle Frames Die-Namics.  Also from Sweet Tooth card stock, I cut a Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-Namics, and using Razzle Berry dye ink I stamped the sentiment from the LLD Tickled Pink stamp set.  That cute flamingo is from the LLD Flamingos Die-Namics, and he was cut out using Razzle Berry card stock, and I added a polka dot wing that was cut from the Dots & Stripes Sorbet paper pack.  I assembled the card on a Sweet Tooth card stock base using some foam adhesive behind the frame, and added a Razzle Berry card stock flag at the top right, and some Sparkling Clear Mix sequins to embellish.

I hope that today tickles YOU pink, and I thank you for stopping by!
