Timeless Tuesday #129

It's Tuesday again, so the Flourishes blog team is ready with another Timeless Tuesday challenge for you! This week Betty Wright is the hostess and she has an easy-peasy challenge for you... create something with your favorite flowers! Let's create a beautiful, blooming garden over on the Flourishes blog! Check out the challenge and join us!

It's a new month, so we have a new Guest Designer on the challenge... Allison Cope! (funny.... I cannot type her last name with trying to type Copic first!) Allison has played along in many Timeless Tuesday challenges so we were thrilled to have her join us for the month!

And with finally getting settled in her new home in Oklahoma, Beate Johns is joining our team, too! We are thrilled to have her with us, and know she will be a huge inspiration to you!

My favorite flowers are actually tulips, but I felt weird making a card with tulips in July, so I went with my next favorite for my card... sunflowers!

My flower from the Sunflowers stamp set is stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock and colored with Copic markers. I also stamped the larger sunflower from the set on the Kraft cardstock in the background along with an unknown script background stamp. (click the photo for a close-up) I really thought this green gingham paper was a good pairing with the sunflower, too... you'd never know this is Christmas paper from the Authentique "Wonder" paper pad, would you?! :) For the layout on my card, I used Iwona's Saturday Sketchbook challenge #22.

See the other Timeless Tuesday team members for more inspiration...

Allison Cope, August Guest Designer

I hope you'll join us in the challenge this week! Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful! My daughter always liked sunflowers, so they always remind me of her! That punched border is gorgeous too.

Tammy, I love this sunflower. Like you, the tulip is my favorite of all flowers. I did make a sunflower card to be posted tomorrow, though. I guess I like them all. I can see how that pretty paper could be used as Chrismtas, but if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have never thought about it. Gorgeous creation!
