All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge

In addition to the Color Throwdown, another Wednesday brings around another challenge with the All that Scraps girls! This week is one of my most favorite ever 'cause we're to use buttons and bows on our creations! My two most-favorite, most-often-used embellishments EVER! Woohoo! Check out my card.....

I am just NUTS about how this card turned out, using Mercy's Tuesday sketch #77, and papers from October Afternoon!! Isn't Summer Honey just adorable in her bathing cap, ready for a dip in the pool? For the ATS challenge, I added a button to the bow on her cap, and of course a ribbon/button treatment to the card with a string bow. My background is embossed with a new Cuttlebug folder, the Polka Dots. I stitched all the way around the designer paper panel, too.

Color Throwdown #96

It's time to throw down some colors again, and this week I'm the hostess! I chose one of my most favorite color combinations for today, which ironically was also colors that were chosen for another challenge I did last week (if you were thinking these colors looked familiar!)

For my card, I could not resist using the new Fred Bear stamps I just got from My Favorite Things, along with the fabulous new Jumbo Ric-Rac Die-Namics and Grosgrain Texture Board. That ric-rac die could prove to be very dangerous for me... there's danger that I'm going to use it on EVERY creation from now on! LOL Hello? LOVE it!

i {heart} copics Fabulous Friday #16

Wow, this week has just flown by and here it is Friday already and time for another challenge with the i {heart} copics design team. You can check out today's challenge, to make a card for Father's Day, by visiting the IHC group forum on Paper Craft Planet! There you can also get a peek at the cards from the other designers for inspiration!

For my card, I chose to use this lighthouse from Rubbernecker Stamps, because I have this awesome sentiment stamp inside the card to go with it! My plaid designer paper is Abbey Road from My Mind's Eye. (The olive green is the opposite side of the plaid... LOVE me some double-sided paper, especially when it's a nice coordinating solid!) I used the Taylored Expressions sketch challenge #115 for this week for the layout.

This sentiment is from the Father's Day Centers set from Cornish Heritage Farms.

Since this card isn't something I'd send to my Dad (he's not a lighthouse kinda' guy) I'll probably list it in my Etsy shop. If you're in need of a Father's Day card, check it out!

All That Scraps Wednesday Challenge

Another Wednesday means it's time for another challenge with the girls from All That Scraps! This week we are being challenged to use the colors light yellow, light blue and pumpkin in our design. Honestly, this is one of my most FAVORITE combinations of color! So much so that I bought a whole spool of the May Arts ribbon I used here two years ago because I love the colors so much!

I used this Kiki Sunflower digital image for my card... is she not adorable? I paired her with some old Stampin' Up! designer paper and some October Afternoon paper, and used Karen's Sweet Sunday sketch for the layout.

Color Throwdown #95

It's time for another Color Throwdown, and this week LeAnne is our hostess today with these HOT summer colors! These colors are so hot, I decided to use them to enter the Guest Designer contest for My Favorite Things! The theme for the challenge this month was "hot" so I thought some hot colors, along with the hot new Die-Namics dies, and paper flowers which seem to be all the rage right now (translation... they're "hot!") would fit the bill! I don't think I stand a snail's chance at winning, but it was fun to create this floral frame!
This sentiment stamp is from the Clearly Sentimental about Emerson set from My Favorite Things, and I thought it would be nice in this frame which is a little gift for a recent graduate. I originally was just going to make a card for this challenge, but thought about how much Kate loves things bright and girly, so I made up this frame instead. A simple black ribbon threaded through some loops in the back is all that is needed to hang this up!
I learned how to make these rolled paper flowers from this tutorial, and was inspired to make this frame from her tutorial, too! Each flower and leaf is spritzed with Perfect Pearls mixed with water so they're super shimmery!

Glitter in the Wind

Happy June! I have some exciting news to share with you today! Last month, I was contacted by Kendra Wietstock at Our Craft Lounge and asked to be a Guest Designer for the Summer! So for June, July and August you'll be seeing some great OCL procjects here on my blog as I spend some time playing around with their fun stamp designs, and getting a little Sparkly Fluff all over me! Yay!

For my card today, I decided to play along with the Design Team Sketch challenge for this week. I really loved this sketch, and was so glad to see that Holly used her Labels 4 Nestabilities on her sample card! It inspired me to get my Labels 4 out and blow off the dust! This stamp set I used is definitely going to be one of my favorites.... it's called Dandy Days, and I just the whimsical blooms and the sentiments that come in this set!
I colored the images using Tombow markers, then huffed and stamped onto cream cardstock. Then, using some Glossy Accents (because my Quickie glue pen has dried up!) I placed tiny dots all around the dandelions and added some Lemon Drop Yellow Sparkly Fluff, so that my dandelions truly are like "glitter in the wind!"
You can see the "fluff" in this picture, but the sparkle was harded to capture! I paired my image with some October Afternoon papers, and a ribbon from Creative Impressions.

So I hope you like my latest creation using Our Craft Lounge stamps and products and hope you'll stay tuned for more over the summer!

Diplomabella #1

We attended graduation party #1 of several that are on our calendar last evening, so I decided to use Diplomabella from Stamping Bella to make all my cards this year, since all the parties we're invited to are for young ladies. My plan is to make each one in this same style and just change them out with the school colors. Easy peasy! This one was for Cari, and obviously the school colors and brown and gold! :)

I hope everyone has a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! I get to extend my holiday just a little and am taking Tuesday off work too, so I'm super-excited to begin my 4-day weekend! There's a LOT of stamping on my agenda, and soccer games for my daughter, and another graduation party to attend!

Fabulous Friday Challenge #15

It's time for another Fabulous Friday challenge with the i {heart} copics design team! We're up to challenge #15 this week, and we're creating out-of-the-ordinary shaped cards for the challenge, along with a Copic-colored image.

Now, you're looking at my card and thinking "well Tammy, that's kinda' ordinary, don't you think?" And I would say "YEP!" and then I'll proceed to tell you how many directions I've been pulled in this week, and how heavy my eyelids were when I finally sat down to make this card, and how I forgot about the "shape" part of the challenge, and on-and-on-and-on! So, to somewhat save my skin, I cut my card out using the Labels 8 Nestabilities for a different "shape." Sorry... paste the loser L on my forehead if you want to! :) I'm straining towards getting Friday over with at this point, and then I'm off for four whole days! Yahoo! My card is also a modified version of Mercy's Tuesday Sketch challenge #75.

All that Scraps Wednesday Challenge - A Sketch

For my card, I found this Stampavie image by Jillian Roberts that I had already colored so with this great sketch my card quickly came together! This image and all the Stampavie images are 25% off right now in the ATS store, so go check them out! I combined my image with some fun October Afternoon papers, and this yummy lime green polka dot ribbon I just got from Creative Impressions. The striped border is cut with another new item I recently got... the Jumbo Scallop Die-Namics die from My Favorite Things! LOVE it! I can see myself getting a LOT of use from those dies!

I used the Scalloped Scallop Die-Namics from MFT to cut paper for the inside of my card, too!

Did you know I'm FABULOUS?

Seriously? Did you know that I'm fabulous? Well, I am for today anyway! Today I am the Fabulous Friend over at the My Favorite Things blog, and I'm thrilled about it! Being the Fabulous Friend means getting to use stamps that I love from a company that I love, so what could be better?

Kim graciously sent me some fun stamps of my choosing to work with for today, and I chose the set Coffee? Tea? and Who's that Chocoholic? She also sent me Invitation Only to use for today, and if you stop by the MFT blog, you can see what I created using those sets! I also created this little gifty bag of chocolate using the Who's the Chocoholic? set to show you here today!
If you're a fan of the TV show friends, you might remember the episode where Monica is making Christmas candy for all the neighbors? And one of the neighbors tells her friends that the candies are like "little drops of Heaven!" Remember? Well, say hello to "Little Drops of Heaven!" I recently discovered this candy at the bulk food store next to Toyrifix! They're called Mocha Coffee Lentils. I've seen them there before, but the word "lentils" always made me think "ewww!" Well, trust me... they're not real lentils! I don't know why they call them that, but these babies are like mocha/coffee M&M's! They're sabotage to this girl who's trying to lose weight, so I figured I'd give them as gifts and share the love to keep myself from eating them! (Plus if I fatten up everyone around me, then I'll appear thinner, right?) So I made up a few of these little treat bags for coffee-loving/chocolate-loving friends!

I used my Labels 8 Nestabilities for the bag topper, and used some of the Simply Spring Gingham collection digital papers from MFT to paper-piece the dress. (I ♥ gingham!)
