Flourishes New Release - Joy is in the Air

Joy is in the Air today at Flourishes as we sneak peek the third set of new release stamps today! This is the "Joy is in the Air" stamp set and it features a snow globe and three sweet images that fit inside! You'll love the versatility of this set!
Along with the new set on my card today, I am also using the new 1-2-3 Create Kit for November, featuring the December 25th line of paper from Kaisercraft and matching embellishments! I used the papers, pearls, lace and ribbon from the kit for my card, along with the Picot Edge Circle Nestabilities. My image was stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock and colored with Copics from the Fuchsia, Fields, and Copper collections.
I added some Rock Candy Distress Stickles to the snow for added shimmer...
... and restamped the snowman image and the sentiment that's included with the set on the inside.

Flourishes New Release - Petals & Peace

Hello everyone! I've got lots of graphics and lots to tell you about today... bear with me, please! The biggest news is the next new release from Flourishes today, the Petals & Peace stamp set. Oh. my. WORD! This set is a beauty in and of itself, but here's what makes it even more incredible... a Spellbinders custom die set to go with it! I know... SHUT UP, right? This is the Tailor-Made Classic Keyhole Template die. You're going to LOOOOOVE it! BE SURE to check out the links down below to the Flourishes Sr. Designers and a few special guests to see just how fabulous this stamp set and dies are!

For my card today, I'm using the Color Throwdown colors with this beautiful new stamp set and some papers from My Mind's Eye. (See down below for the color swatch for today, and stop by the Throwdown blog for all the challenge details.) I couldn't bear to cover up the beautiful flowers too much with the sentiment tag, so I used vellum instead. My image is stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock and color with Copics from the Peony, Evergreen and Copper collections.

I embellished with some Kaisercraft pearls, a seam binding bow and a white Prima rosebud that I colored with the RV32 Copic and my airbrush gun.

Want to win this set and matching die? All you need to do is leave some love in the form of a comment on the blogs below! Why? You need to try to figure out…..

Flourishes New Release - FTTC143

It's that wonderful time of the month again... Flourishes New Releases! Today the Timeless Tuesday team is bringing you the first day of sneak peeks with the new Sentimental Christmas stamp set! And our Timeless Tuesday challenge today, being hosted by Mona Pendleton is to try the Double-Embossing Technique. This is a really fabulous technique that creates a real WOW factor on your card, so check out the SCS tutorial and give it a try!

I used the "Let it Snow" sentiment from the new set, along with this pair of mittens from the Warm Winter Wishes stamp set. My background was embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder (hey, that reminds me... have you seen the new Sizzix embossing folders in the Flourishes store?) on Flourishes Classic White cardstock, and I used the Labels 14 Nestabilities for my sentiment. I added some bling in the form of a rhinestone flourish, a very glittery die-cut snowflake, and the Metallic White Curling ribbon on the mittens. I also spritzed the background with some Perfect Pearls mixed with water for more shimmer and sparkle. (see the close-up below)
I used the Azure Copic collection from Flourishes to color my mittens, and my sentiment was stamped with Broken China Distress ink.

Stop around and see what the Timeless Tuesday team and a few members of the Sr. Design team have to inspire you today for this challenge, and play along! One lucky winner will get the ENTIRE NEW NOVEMBER RELEASE! And you get an extra entry if you use Flourishes stamps on your creation! Check out the Flourishes blog for all the details.

Snowy Delights with Flourishes

Can you believe it's almost time for another new release from Flourishes? It seems like we just got done with the wonderful new Christmas sets that were released last month and now it's time to show you some more! You're really going to love what's to come beginning on Tuesday and, just a hint... there's more than just stamps! SQUEEEE! And if you'd like the chance to win the entire November release, then play along with our Pre-Release Challenge today, the Snowy Delights!

HOW TO PLAY: It sparkles, shines and glistens on the landscape. Let’s capture some of that snowy sparkle on our cards or creations! Use glitter, Flower Soft, or any kind of bling that offers up a snowy feel! If you use a gallery with a keyword, please use FLLCNOV11. And remember to link up on this post on the Flourishes blog using the inlinkz widget in order to be in the running! You have until November 11th at 5PM EST to enter— so let’s get creative and make up some snowy delights!

For my card, I've added some snow to this evergreen from the Forest of Trees stamp set using some Liquid Applique and glitter. My tree is stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock with Forest Moss Distress ink. I added a sentiment to my card on a Labels 14 Nestabilities and stamped snowflakes from the Warm Winter Wishes stamp set, and the designer papers I used here are My Mind's Eye.
For more sparkle and bling I added a die-cut snowflake coated with Distress "Rock Candy" Stickles, some gold Curling Sparkly ribbon and some clear rhinestones. Also hiding just below my tree and sentiment panel is a bit of Cotton Lace Trim in ecru.

Stop and see the Snowy Delights from the rest of the Flourishes Sr. Design team today, and be inspired...

Color Throwdown #166

Time for another Color Throwdown! This week is so exciting for two reasons.... about 6 weeks ago when we made the decision to enlarge our team, one person that we asked to join us was unable until now, so I'm really happy that today we welcome one more member to the team, Kerri Michaud! AND today we also welcome a new Guest Designer. She'll be with us for all of November and for the first two weeks of December... the fabulous Lydia Fielder! YAY! Told ya' it was exciting today!

Danielle is our hostess this week with a great color combo that can be used a huge variety of ways! Check out the challenge on the Throwdown blog, and remember if you don't have the exact colors, whatever you have that's most similar is just fine!

For my card, I have used the Mojo Monday sketch and some Cosmo Cricket "Odds and Ends" papers. The stamps I used here are the Sentimental Occasions from My Time Made Easy, and I used the Occasional Label cut file on my Cricut to cut the oval and the polka dot frame (all designed by fellow CTD'er Kristin Eberline!) The doily was also cut on my Cricut... this is a cut file I bought on TwoPeas, but since I can't get their website to cooperate right now, I can't link it up!

Check out the creations from the rest of my Color Throwdown sisters...

Thanks a bunch for stopping by!

Timeless Tuesday #142

It's Tuesday again, so the girls over on the Flourishes blog have another Timeless Tuesday challenge for you! This week, Beate is our hostess and she's challenging us to get out of the box... use your Nestabilities to cut out your image, but leave some of it hanging over the edge, just like I've done here on my card. This is a technique that I love to do, especially when my image is just a tiny bit too big for the die I want to use. It seems difficult at first, but trust me once you try it a few times, you'll be a pro! Check out the tutorial on Splitcoaststampers for instructions.

For my card, I used the Italian Garden stamp set, and some papers from Simple Stories. My image is stamped on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics (collections shown below). I cut out my image with Petite Oval Nestabilities, and matted on a Labels 18 Nestabilities. My tag was cut out with the Labels 11 Nestablities.

Stop and check out the inspiration from the Timeless Tuesday team...
