One of the therapists where I worked learned that I’m a stamper and asked me last week to make him a dozen birthday cards, six for guys and six for girls. So that has kept me busy this weekend. For today, I’ll share one of the masculine ones with you and I’ll show you the rest another day.
For this one…
I pulled out my Multi-Step Lighthouse stamp set from Kitchen Sink Stamps and made these two simple cards. Don’t let those “multi-step” stamps intimidate you… it’s so easy to just quickly stamp them out for over-the-top or simple cards like these! My layers are stamped with…
#4 – Versafine Onyx Black
#3 – Memento Tuxedo Black (stamped off once)
#2 – SU! Going Gray
#1 – SU! Going Gray (stamped off once)
See what I mean? What could be easier? Then I added the sentiment, matted the cardstock, and lickity-split I’m done!
Remember, if you would like to order this stamp set from Kitchen Sink or ANY stamps from there, you can get 10% off your order is you use KSS10Tammy in the coupon code on your order!

Washi Tape Cards
The new job I started recently is due in part to the fact that someone is retiring. I’m almost sorry to have the job, because this lady is so well-loved and many in the office are sorry to see her go, including me! In the two short weeks I’ve known her I’ve grown to love her, too. But today is her last day, and I decided to make her a little set of cards as a retirement gift. I hope she’ll find good use for these.
To make them quick and easy, I just pulled out my bin of Washi tape, some sentiment stamps and got to work. And here they are….
Any questions about these, just shoot me an email or leave in the comments! I’ll answer whatever I can.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Color Throwdown #261
Well, it’s Color Throwdown time again but we could easily change the title of today’s post to “Who Stole My Mojo?” Argh… I am in a very non-creative rut lately! I am not happy with my card for you today, but it is what it is…
I used the Retro Sketch #82 for my layout today, and the Clearly Sentimental about Success stamp set from My Favorite Things. For the little rocket ship, I grabbed my Die-Namics You Move Me die, then cut out a crescent moon with my Silhouette. I embossed the moon, then spritzed it with some Heirloom Gold Perfect Pearls spray. I also sprayed some silver shimmer on the rocket ship (but couldn’t get it to show in the photo) and added some rhinestones for more stars.
Be sure to stop by the CTD blog for all the challenge details today, and join us also in bidding farewell to Lynn Put as she moves on to other pursuits in life and stamping! We’ll miss her beautiful designs!

Welcome Little One
There was a baby shower at work this week, so I had to make up a little card to go with my gift…
This little duck is a digital image from the Nature Babies stamp set at Angel’s Landing, and I paired it with some Graphic 45 papers. The sentiment is from Never a Loss 4 Words from Kitchen Sink Stamps. And finally, my card layout is from Seize the Sketch #4 for this week.
Happy weekend, and thanks for stopping by!

Color Throwdown #260
Hello stamping friends, it’s time for the Color Throwdown again, and this week I’m the hostess. I found this Fall photo and loved the splash of color in the violet-hued mums so I thought this would be a great color combo for the week! I hope you like it too, and will give it a try!
For my card…
I used an old ala’ modes stamp set from My Favorite Things, along with some papers from Doodlebug (the orange with the leaves) and some old Bazzill Swiss Dot papers. I added a jumbo ric-rac die cut border, some jute twine and a purple button to complete the design. The layout comes from the Sweet Sunday Sketch #193 for this week. I colored the image with my Copic markers, and boy howdy was that an adventure! My Copics have been gathering dust BIG TIME and I almost felt like I forgot how to use ‘em! LOL
Stop and see my Throwdown sisters for more inspiration…

Harvest Welcome
It’s Kitchen Sink Monday and I have a card to share with you today that’s perfect for the season. It’s also the Monday that I start my new job! I’ve shared with you a few times over the last few weeks that my old job was quite stressful and making me miserable, but I’m happy to share that Friday was my last day there, and today I start fresh in what I know is going to be a wonderful place to work! Thanks to everyone for the words of support, encouragment and prayers lately!
My card for today is for the new pastor and his wife that we welcome to our church this past weekend! I thought a few baskets of KSS mums would be a perfect welcome card…
I kept this pretty clean and simple, just embellishing with a few enamel dots. The mums come from the Multi-Step Harvest stamp set, and the “welcome” sentiment is from Never a Loss 4 Words. My mums in the front were stamped in this order…
#3-Memento Olive Grove
#2-Memento Bamboo Leaves
#5-Memento Potter’s Clay
#4-Memento Tangelo (stamped two times)
#1-Memento Dandelion
(Then at the end, I stamped #5 again over the top with Rhubarb Stalk)
Then I masked the mums in the front, and stamped the ones in the back using…
#3-Memento Olive Grove
#2-Memento Bamboo Leaves
#5-Memento Rhubarb Stalk
#4-Memento Tangelo
#1-Memento Dandelion
The buckets were stamped with…
#4-Memento Rich Cocoa
#3-Versafine Vintage Sepia
#2-Memento Toffee Crunch
#1-Versamagic Sahara Sand

Color Throwdown #259
It’s Color Throwdown time again, and this week Melody is hosting her first challenge with this beautiful Fall color combo! I hope you’ll check out the challenge over on the CTD blog and join us!
For my card, I found some Little Yellow Bicycle papers from last year that worked perfectly…
However, the papers being a good match is about where it ends, ‘cause I think my card is pretty lame! :( I used my Acorn die from Lil’ Inker Designs, and added a sentiment from the My Favorite Things Cheerful Blessings stamp set. The layout for my card is from the Fall-to-Layout #257 for this week.
So be sure to stop over at the Color Throwdown blog and join us this week, and check out my CTD sisters for more inspiration…

Color Throwdown #258
It’s Color Throwdown time again this week, and Lynn is our hostess with these great earthy colors. I decided to pull out my not-yet-inked Pretty Patches: Apple stamp set and die from Wplus9 Design Studio. I used a simple layout for my design, using the Rounded Banner STAX Die-Namics from My Favorite Things, along with the Medium Scallop Border Die-Namics. I thought it’d be fun to do a green apple to keep with the CTD colors, and added a little sage for the center and the leaf.

Thanks a Load
Happy Labor Day, my stamping friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful day off (or if you have to work I hope you’re gettin’ double-time!) To celebrate this holiday, Kitchen Sink Stamps is having a wonderful 30% off sale on all in-stock stamps! The sale ends at 12:05 a.m. Pacific time on Tuesday, September 3rd. And remember, U.S. orders over $65 get free shipping!
I created a card to share with you today that I am sending to a man from my church. I recently had to resign from my job, and have had some great prayer support from the people in my Sunday School class throughout the stress I’ve had with my job. This man in our class has had some hard-knocks of his own in the last year, but he called me on Sunday evening and wanted to let me know how upset he was that I ended up having to quit my job, and that he was praying for me and my family. I was so touched by that call, and wanted to let him know how much I appreciated it, so I made this card to send to him.
This truck and sentiment are from the Multi-Step Classic Old Truck stamp set. My truck base (the tires and other dark areas) was stamped with Versafine Onyx Black and Smokey Gray inks. The truck body was stamped in this order…
#3b-Memento Sweet Plum
#2b-Memento Rhubarb Stalk
#1b-My Favorite Things Wild Cherry
#4b-Memento Grape Jelly
The sentiment was stamped with Versamagic Aspen Mist and Versafine Smokey Gray. I used some new Simple Stories papers on my card… LOVE the circles with the stars to go with this truck, as it reminds me of the old Texaco signs!
