I just LOVE the cluster of flowers and the basket in the LJD Easter Bunny stamp set, so I decided to pull it out for my card this week…
Deconstructed Sketch #163 by Tammy Hershberger
I started out with some white embossing paste and the Small Brick Wall stencil on the Sno Cone card stock background.  When the paste dried, I sponged some Sno Cone hybrid ink over the bricks to tone down the white a little, and sponged some Antique Linen distress ink around the edges, as well.  For the flowers, I stamped the leaves in Sour Apple hybrid ink,
and the flowers in Insulation Pink hybrid ink, with Brick Red hybrid ink centers.  Then I used some Copic markers to add accent to the leaves and the flower centers, and toned it down a little by sponging Antique Linen ink around the outer edges.  The basket was stamped on Kraft card stock with Natural hybrid ink.  The sentiment from LJD Blissful Butterflies was stamped in Timber Green hybrid ink on blush card stock cut with the Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX.  In the background I added a Timber Green card stock panel stamped with the BG Romantic Script background, and a Grout Gray card stock panel stamped with the BG Diagonal Stripes background in Grout Gray hybrid ink.  My card base is Sno Cone card stock layered with a piece of Blu Raspberry card stock.  I finished the card with some sequins, and seam binding ribbon flag, and a blush card stock flag cut from Blueprints 13.
By the way, I did find the seam binding to be just a little too flimsy to serve as a flag on my card.  So here’s a trick I used to make it a little sturdier…
seam binding tape trick
I added a 1/2” wide piece of Scor-Tape to the back of the seam binding, but didn’t remove the paper backing.  This gave the seam binding just a little extra body to serve as a ribbon tab!  :)

  4. Love the soft colours on this card. The brick wall - both in texture and in colour - really makes the card!
