Color Throwdown #302

Color Throwdown #302 close-up by Tammy Hershberger
Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Are you ready for another Color Throwdown challenge?  This week my BFF Barbara Anders is our hostess, and I think she’s trying to relive her recent trip to Rome and Venice with this photo for our colors this week!  :)

Isn’t that scene pretty!  I’d SO love to go to Venice sometime, wouldn’t you?  I hope you like these colors and will join us this week!
For my card, I pulled out my new, but not-yet-used Pure Innocence Sending Big Hugs stamps…

The really awesome thing about this stamp set is that it comes with a matching Die-Namics die!  How cool is that?  Now, I’ve never been averse to fussy-cutting images like this, but the die makes it SO nice!  You just zip it through your cutting machine, and presto!  So, my image was stamped on Copic X-press It blending card stock, and colored with Copics (my Copics were starting to gather dust, I think!)  Then I stamped a Lemon Drop card stock panel in Sweet Tooth pigment ink with the LJD Darling Dots stamp set, and stamped a Blu Raspberry card stock panel also with Sweet Tooth pigment ink and the BG Gingham background.  Another Blu Raspberry panel was cut with the Horizontal Stitched Strips Die-Namics.  I cut a Pierced Fishtail Flags STAX from Lemon Drop card stock, and stamped it with a sentiment from the Sending Big Hugs stamp set.  On the Sweet Tooth card stock background I embossed with the new Diagonal Stripes stencil, cut it out using Blueprints 13, and mounted to a Rich Razzleberry card stock base.  A few enamel dots finished the front of the card.
On the inside…

A few more stamped panels, and the Pure Innocence image.  This card is going to my dear friend Cindy, who just needs to be reminded that friends are near!
I’m also excited to help celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge and enter my card!  Congrats to Stacey and her team!
Be sure to stop over at the CTD blog for all the challenge details, and please join us!  And don’t forget to see my Throwdown sisters for more inspiration…
