My Favorite Things-New Product Tour
The big day is almost here! The new release from My Favorite Things will be tomorrow night (Tuesday, April 9th) at 10:00 p.m. But for today, we have more sneak peeks for you of the new goodies you can buy! And be sure to check out more tomorrow to finalize your Shopping List! Just be sure to stop over at the MFT Blog for a complete list of designers to see today and tomorrow, and for all the new release details!
For today, I have a card to share with you and a special project…
For my card, I used one of my most favorite color combos. The Sweet Roses got inked up again… I just love ‘em, along with the Roses and Leaves Die-Namics. The polka dot piece was cut with a Fishtail Flags STAX Die-Namics, and the Chevron piece was created with the new Mod Borders stamp set. I accented with some rhinestones, and Baker’s twine with my favorite button/tag combo and a sentiment from the Sweet Roses set.
Next up is a project for a special friend. There’s a lady at my church I’ve known for over 16 years. I first met her when my youngest daughter was born as she was one of the LaLeche League leaders and was a huge help to me in those early days as I struggled with nursing my daughter. Then several years ago we started going to a new church, and there she was again. She’s one of the nicest people I know, is always doing so much for others, and has a fabulous sense of humor. She recently celebrated a birthday and mentioned on Facebook that she was making a birthday promise to herself to start journaling every day. Well, my wheels immediately started turning and I knew I needed to make her a journal…
A few of the new stamps and dies being released this month were just perfect for this project, especially when I was able to combine them with other supplies I already have. At the top, you’ll see the new Accent It – Story Titles Die-Namics (the word REMEMBER) and the words “THE”, “LIFE” and “EVERY DAY” come from the new Document It – Expand Your View stamp set. On the left side of the library card I stamped a light blue border from the new Mod Borders stamp set, and behind the library card pocket is a green strip cut from the new Blueprints 2 Die-Namics. Other stamps and Die-Namics used include the Journal It – Library Card, Document It – Right This Way, and the Accent It – Flags and Tags Die-Namics.
That’s all for me today…I hope you’ve enjoyed! Again, please be sure to stop over at the MFT Blog for all the new release details! You won’t want to miss any of the excitement!
Thanks SO much for stopping by!
