HOW TO PLAY: For this noon challenge, your card just has to be a little on the rugged side. Use faux leather, “lasso” in some fun trim or give your creation a distressed look — you choose. Just make sure your card is worthy of the wild west! Upload to SCS? Use the keyword FLLCSEPTRW2 and don’t forget to link up your creation using the Inlinkz widget on the Flourishes blog.
Here’s my wild and wonderful creation for today… a Matchbook Candy Holder. I LOVE to have a bunch of these on hand at Christmas-time, so I thought I’d get an early start and make one now. I fired up my Silhouette Cameo again and used the Cowboy Christmas cut file to cut out the horseshoe shape with Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock, stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and colored with Copics from the Fuchsia, Leaf Green, and Tonal Neutral collections. I cut out a Nestabilities Circle from a piece of corrugated cardboard, distressed the edges a little, then sponged some Tea Dye ink on it. I also added a distressed piece of My Mind’s Eye Christmas paper. I used a staple to create the matchbook, and decided to just leave it as is, for a more rugged look.
Here’s the inside… the Ghirardelli won’t last until the holidays of course, but I can buy more when Christmas gets closer! :)
While you’re hopping, be sure to check out these fine ladies’ creations as well!
