Hello everyone! Didn’t I tell you to be ready for a spectacular week of new releases from Flourishes? We are starting early because we have FIVE new sets to unveil and want to make sure you see all of them in their full glory. Get ready for a fun and festive week ahead! There is definitely something for everyone on tap this week. Today, we start with a classic Christmas image and we know that it will be a favorite for years to come!
A beautifully adorned Christmas tree perfect for the season – that is what you get with this offering from Marcella Hawley called Trimmed With Love! Decked to perfection, this set features not only a main focal image but a mistletoe wreath, perfect for tags or packages, a handful of sentiments to adorn your cards or creations plus a trio of greetings designed to fit our Tailor-made Classic Tags Dies. And here is my card featuring this beautiful tree from the Trimmed With Love set. I chose to keep mine on the simple side, stamping the tree on Kraft cardstock with Ranger Forest Moss Distress ink. I colored the ribbon garland on the tree with the R27 Copic marker from the Poppy Collection, then used a Sakura white gel pen, and a Gelly Roll Glaze pen to highlight the star and the lights on the tree, as shown below.
I stamped the sentiment on the red die-cut circle with Versamark and Memento Tuxedo Black ink, then embossed with Ranger Super Fine Detail black embossing powder.
