Flourishes Noontime Challenge

Today brings the second of two Noontime Challenges with Flourishes!  Play along and YOU could win the entire May New Release!  Today's challenge is "Let's Hear it for the Boys!"  This challenge is all about the men in your life -- no matter what the age! All you need to do is make a more masculine card for this challenge and you will be in the running! If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, please use the keyword FLLCMAYRW2. Entries must be in before Friday, May 11th at :00 p.m. EST. To enter, make sure you link up your creation over on the Flourishes blog using the Inlinkz widget!

For my card, I used the image of the father and son playing some football from the new Father's Day stamp set.  I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder (the sentiment, too).  I cut out the image with a Nestabilities Rectangle die, embossed the edges and sponged inside with a little Antique Linen ink.  I kept the whole card pretty simple, since it's supposed to be "for the boys!"  I embellished with some Ivory Cotton Twill, baker's twine, and a football charm from my stash (I knew those things would get used some day!)  The papers I used are from Cosmo Cricket's "The Boyfriend" mini-deck, shown below... which is also on sale right now in the Flourishes online store since there's a great Spring sale going on!  Be sure to check it out HERE.

For more "boyish" inspiration, be sure to stop and see Sr. Design Team members Christine Okken and Stacy Morgan today!

Thanksabunch!
