It's a sad day at Flourishes today, as Leslie Miller has decided to step down from the Design Team for a much-needed, well-deserved break... more time to spend with family, and adopting a slower pace to life! Leslie was one of the original designers when Flourishes began four years ago, and has provided exquisite, gorgeous inspiration week after week using Flourishes stamps. Her loss will be strongly felt, and she'll be incredibly missed!
As a way to honor Leslie, the Sr. Design Team is sharing creations today that are inspired by her.... we all chose creations on her blog to CASE today and share with you! (And since Danielle Kennedy is bouncing back from a stressful week of being without electricity from Hurricane Irene, I have the special privilege of filling in for her today! Keep Danielle and family in your prayers, please!)
I went back through several pages of gorgeous Flourishes creations on Leslie's blog, and when my jaw dropped at this card, I knew it was the one I wanted to CASE. I sure hope I did it justice!
This wreath is from the Seasonal Wreaths stamp set, and is colored on Flourishes Classic Ivory cardstock using Copics from the Tea Rose and Fields collections. The papers I used here are the newly stocked My Mind's Eye "Blush" and I embellished my card with some KaiserCraft pearls in Chocolate and Prima Cameo Roses in Azalea pink. Nestabilities used here are the Small Circle, Blossom and Long Classic Scalloped Rectangle.
Visit the blogs of the other Sr. Design Team members to see what creations Leslie inspired them to create today...
Leslie, I wish you ALL the best as you begin a new chapter in your life! Thank you for the incredible inspiration you've provided over so many years! I have always been so grateful to know you just the little bit that I do.... the comments you leave for me always make me smile even more because I appreciate that someone of your incredible talent takes time for someone like me! :) Enjoy your blogging/stamping break, and I will certainly look forward to see your creations again after you get some rest and renewal!
