Color Throwdown #118

Hey everyone, are you having a good week? The weather here in Northeast Ohio has been beautiful for being mid-November! I hope things are great wherever you are, too!

Are you ready for another Color Throwdown? Broni is our hostess this week, and she's chosen this lovely, elegant color combo! This would be great for Christmas cards, or even something for Thanksgiving. I hope you'll give it a try!

I chose to go with a Christmas card with these colors, pulling out a favorite stamp of mine from Verses Rubber Stamps. I stamped my image on Kraft cardstock using Fired Brick distress ink and found it to be an almost perfect match to the Cherry Cobbler cardstock! To embellish, I used this hand-dyed seam binding that I got from Debbie Marcinkiewicz. Debbie has an incredible selection of seam binding colors in her Etsy shop. If you're in the market for some, be sure to check her out! This is the first time I've worked with it, and at first I struggled with making a bow but once you realize that it's not supposed to look perfect, it's just wonderful to work with. I finished off the triple bow with a button and some copper cording, then added some copper brads above the stamped image to match.

Happy stamping!
