It's time for another Cupcake Inspiration Challenge with the Sweeties at Hope Stamps Eternal! Today we've got a spoooooky cupcake to inspire you! Check out these jack-o-lanterns, with that purple frosting! These look very rich, don't you think? The kind of cupcakes that have to be accompanied by a large glass of very cold milk!
For my card, I pulled out my Rubbernecker Halloween stamps, and used the jack-o-lantern image to match the toppers on the cupcakes! He's running and leapin' to wish you a Happy Halloween! For the layout of my card, I used a sketch from a brand-new challenge being started up by my sweet friend, Kristin Bueter! Stop by Kristin's blog to see the sketch, and play along! Soon she'll have a separate blog set up for their challenges, and you won't want to miss 'em!I colored with Copics, then used a small paintbrush to apply Crystal Stickles on the pumpkin, feet, hands, and some on the leaves. I like doing this to add an all-over sparkle without the dimension of Stickles. I also painted the Stickles across the sentiment tag.
I used some star brads to mimic the stars on the cupcakes, and the Eerie paper from Basic Grey was a perfect match, too!
We have a Guest Sweetie joining us today for the challenge! I have known Ida for quite sometime now, having met her when I used to take part in the Bloggers Challenge each week! Ida truly is a sweetie, and has been playing along with our challenges for weeks so I'm thrilled that Rachel asked her to join us! Be sure to check out her creation, as well as inspiration from the other HSE Sweeties...
And, in honor of World Card Making Day yesterday, Rachel is offering a 15% discount at the Hope Stamps Eternal store through midnight tonight! Just use WCMD as the code!
Thanks for stopping by today!
